I again want to invite you to join us at either 9:00AM on Sundays at Church or 7:00PM Wednesday nights at our home as we discuss Kingdom Life.

In this series we are looking at the Parables.  The Parables describe what the Kingdom of God is like, and how it works.  It is important, because we are currently living in that Kingdom.  As we have discussed before the Kingdom is here, now.  Not in its fullest sense, there is still much work to be done before that happens, but it was introduced when the King first arrived over 2,000 years ago.

Luke 11:18-20 (ESV)
18 And if Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons by Beelzebul. 19 And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges. 20 But if it is by the finger of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. (italics mine).

It was that easy for Jesus to cast out demons.  I image it as if He just flicked His finger and the demons left.  He says that if that is the case, then the kingdom of God HAS come upon you.  It is here now, at work in the lives of God’s people.

We have not spent a lot of time talking about this subject, so we have started the conversation.  We look at the Parables from different perspectives; What Jesus said, what the people heard, how we can relate to the Parable in the 21st century, and what it means to the Kingdom today.

We are taking one (or two) Parables each week, so if you have not joined us, you don’t have any work you need to do to catch up, and if you are not available Sunday mornings, we will talk about the same one(s) on the following Wednesday night.

See you then!
