I have felt like I wanted to start a blog on this new site of ours, but I was not sure how to go about it.  I was talking with a couple friends who had mentioned adding a blog to the site and I told them I had no idea what a blog really was, nor did I know how go about putting one together.  Amber told me, your bulletin letters are blogs!  For the last seven years or so I have a short letter in the church bulletin, random thoughts I have during the week, words of encouragement, etc.  So, apparently I am finally ahead of the curve!  It feels good not to be stranded on the information super highway with a flat for once.

We are making what I hope are major changes to our church.  Changes that will mean more people getting more out of it.  This new website, and the blog are a couple examples of some of the changes we are working on.  The funny thing about churches and change is that even when the change is for the better, people don't always "embrace" them.  There is an old joke that goes;  How many Christians does it take to change a lightbulb?  The answer is "CHANGE?!"

I know that not everyone will understand, but my hope is that people will give things a chance.  Some of the changes are going to work, but I know that not all of them will.  The ones that do work, we will work with, the ones that don't work, well, you won't see them around for long!  This blog, I hope, will work, it should work.  After all, I've been doing it for years.....
